Hey guys, basically, I have two HDs. One WD Caviar Green 500gb, and another WD 120gb HD. Basically, I've just deleted the partition on the 500gb HD and re-installed vista, and now I want to do the same for the 120gb HD, albeit with XP. However, windows will not let me delete the volume because it can't "delete the active system partition disk on this volume". A google hunt didn't do anything for me, so I was hoping you guys could help. Any replies appreciated!

EDIT: Both of these HD's are SATA, if it matters.

Boot with it? I've tried starting it up while in windows, but I can't figure out how to get it to delete a partition...

It's vista home basic, by the way.

EDIT: Hokay, I figured out how to put a windows "over" my old windows, but I'd like to just wipe the partition clean beforehand. I might decide to use the other HD as just storage, I haven't made up my mind yet.
