Stupid Question But...............

When I purchase my brand new AMD Athlon 64 3200+ (s939) Retail Version. Does it come with a heatsink and fan? I also read in some of the posts about people buying a thermal compuond they apply........

Can someone posy a guid or something on what to do here, this seems like a crucial step while building the computer.

Cheers,

Kerry

Yes, if you buy retail it will come with the heatsink and fan... It is fine, but you will want a batter one if you want to overclock but...

Also, AMD 64 retail processors come with some thermal paste already on the bottom of the heatsink... so your fine with that, but if you want to keep it a little more cool, then buy your own themal paste which is not very expensive...
