Stupid question, but what do I type to get those smilies from AIM?

when I'm chatting, I want to type out smilies, but I don't know them, so I ahve to pull down that menu and click on the one i want.
 
Weird, the help file for the current version of AIM is apparently out of date regarding smilies. It says that when you pull down the list by selecting "Insert | Smilies", it shows the keyboard equivalents, but it doesn't when I try it.

I also discovered that if you've got them disabled on your side, you can't select them from the dropdown menu.

Anyway, they're pretty much the same thing as the smilies here. I.e, type a colon and a close parenthesis : ) to get 🙂
 
yeah, their commercials showed the directions next to the smilies, but not in this version :Q

I only know 🙂 😉. yeah, thats all I know for AIM
 
Ctrl+1 through Ctrl+8, and Ctrl+Shift+1 through Ctrl+Shift+8. No need to remember the text equivalents such as :)
