Hmm..after second thought, the 2nd picture doesn't look exactly like him in the first, but in that scene from the second pic, you get a really close face shot and I'm 100% sure it's him.

I checked a few SPR websites. One said this question was asked alot and that Steven Speilberg(sp?) had released a statement saying that they were two different people.

They guy the Blind fold aka Steam Boat Willy is not the guy who kills the jewish guy aka Mellish with the knife!
They guy who kills Tom Hanks is the guy who was blind folded & was released.
Its just the way Speilberg wanted it to be!
They sorta look the same but you tell the diffrence when he walks down the stairs & looks at Upham the coward dude!

The German soldier who knifes the jewish guy is a WAFFEN SS!
He has waffen ss uniforms markings & color schemes.

The other guy who kills Tom Hanks was a Normal Infantry Soldier!
I belive a Fallshirmpanzerkorps.He is also the guy they let go blind folded & was shot with the M1 at the end by Upham!

"Thunerbolt!" was written by Robert Johnson. It's in my bookcase. The paddle blade propeller had a much larger cross section allowing it to use more of the 2000 HP of the large engine. (Pratt and Whitney Double Wasp?)

almost positive they're the same guy...why else would he walked down the stairs and not kill Oppum...he could obviously tell that oppum was panicked or just plain scared too death, even though he was carrying all the ammo and weapon...the german could have easily killed him too...

 

It's one of those things to make you think. The German didn't kill Oppum because Oppum obviously was not going to kill him. There is no rule in war that you go kill everyone you see. The German killed Mellish (the Jewish guy) because Mellish just wacked two of his pals on the stairs and clearly was going for him next.

I think they are different.
I did think they were the same but now after seeing the pictures the one guy has earlobes attached and the other guys are unattached.
That is a feature detemined by genes a recessive/dominant trait.
Other than that they look vewry simlar especially the hairlines and builds.

i was alway under the impression that they were the same ppl, and it makes sense, upan was the one who got him free, so when the german sees upan, he returns the favor, later upan sees the german shoot tom hanks and he finally kills his ass.

i dont really remember the guy, but about whe oppum is on the stairs, and the german comes down, would you shoot a guy carrying a thousand rounds of ammo? what happens if you hit a bullet with your bullet? maybe a large explosion?
