Because then they wouldn't have the pleasure of charging you $20 for a proprietary cable.

The newer RFU adapter with the square plug works on both the PS and PS2. You must have the first generation RFU with the 2 RCA plugs and the power mini-plug in the middle. That one doesn't work with the PS2.

RFU? Sony probably figured that everybody stopped using those cables
after the Genesis/SNES days. Perhaps you should consider getting a
newer TV instead.

I still need an RFU cable for my 13" TV thats in my room.. of course, thats for the PSOne only. The PS2 is hooked up via component to the Wega downstairs.. wish I could get a 24" for my room. :(

Oh, and if you like Midnight Club, you might want to try Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero.
And of course, GT3. :D

I'd also recommend TXRO (Tokoy Extreme...), I've been playing it for
the past couple weeks and it is a lot better than MCSR (Midnight Club...).
Of course there's GT3 and 24 Hours of Lemans (improved port of the DC
game) that are also coming out later this month, and both will be good.
