A couple friends are going to something in Philly that's $85/person (which I think it's nuts). I'll be spending about 1/4th of that and going to a friend's house, and I'll still have a good time.
Nope. I went to a New Years party once. Stayed until a bit after midnight, then left shortly afterwards. I'm not much for large groups of people. And New Years....well, the date's changed. Yyyyup.am I the only one that wants to be antisocial this year and stay home tonight? my wife feels the same way. we just want to sit on our butts and do nothing tonight. dont want to drag the kids out then drag them home at 1230 and try to get them in bed.
ugh. making some queso, eating some chips and watching tv sounds real good tonight.
... but we already rsvp'd for our groups annual NYE bash.![]()
Well that's... original.I like staying home and cranking Pink Floyd and watching their light shows.
What if those two things are mutually exclusive? Especially if you have kids.
I have a 5-month-old baby so that's reason (excuse?) enough to stay home.
I haven't actually enjoyed New Year's Eve since I was a child.
its a tight group of friends. weve done this party for over a decade and now we all have kids. we go over to one of our friends houses and the kids run around like crazy little heathens, games are played, drinks are drunk... you know the whole bit.
I hate noise. Especially noise makers that people have at New Years parties. I hate sloppy drunks. Tonight, the world will seem full of them. I stayed home, though I am designated driver for my kids - they'll call me to pick them up when they're done being obnoxious drunks out at whatever party they're at.
