When I left to run some errands it was snowing. It stopped while I was out and when I came back they had cleared my sidewalks and plowed my driveway again!

3rd time this year. Bastards! Now I have to get them something again

heh around here its a race to get the driveway done off. we have 2-3 old guys with snow plow attachments on the rider mowers. they ride around after snowfall and just do off most people's driveway if its not done.

Thats pretty much it. I always clean off the sidewalk for the kids but we are fine just driving over the snow into the garage

Are they the ones with the plow truck/bobcat?

If so, give em gas money?

I don't know. He is like a snow removal ninja. When I leave for work in the morning my driveway has snow. When I come home the snow is gone (He works 3rd shift so I think he does it when he gets home)

I am pretty sure he got something new because I saw him shoveling his driveway last year and I see treads on both his driveway and mine now

I'd tell them to stay off my property.

Don't mess with the Ninja. They are fanatics. Just act like there was never any snow to start with.

At my father's subdivision in NJ, I woke up one Saturday morning, saw a few inches of snow on the ground, woke my sons up & told them to come out and help. I shoveled his driveway, and his neighbor's driveway which is attached to his. Since I thought that was unfair to his neighbor on the other side, we did the other two driveways. Then, the next townhouse up the street had a guy attempting to shovel his driveway with one of those foldable, store in your trunk type shovels. A few minutes later, my kids and I had his driveway cleared off as well.

But, I watched a couple townhouses down, across the street: a guy came out with a snowblower and went right down the exact center of the driveway and did his side only. I would have taken him about 2 more minutes to be nice and do his neighbor's side as well. Asshole.

I'd tell them to stay off my property.

why? they enjoy doing it and it saves me the trouble.

IF i see them out i go out and talk to them. 2 of them are old retired guys. they enjoy doing it.

they get most of the town done. only a few houses they skip. Every time i have offered gas or something they have refused.

Some people just like doing that for their neighbors. Just a heartfelt "thank you" the next time you see them is more than enough for them.
Hell, I love shoveling my neighbor's driveways too, it feels nice to help out.

That's the thing about Michigan...as much stuff is there is to complain about, the people here are freaking awesome. I have witnessed people fussing about who gets to hold the door for who, people actually eager to let others out into traffic, and a 4 way stop is usually 4 people waving at one another because no one is in a hurry.

OP: I say you write a nice message on his lawn for him. Bonus points for using print.

I bet you and your boys felt a ton better than the other prick after you were done.

Mainly since I would want to do it myself and wouldn't want someone else to damage my property, even if it was accidental and they meant well.
