Stupid monitor, fix yourself!

Well due to a monitor failure, we are currently out an athlon 800. :(
a replacement is on the way and the cow will be back up on sunday. :(
the cow has been down for 2 days already. i am ticked to say the least

well it just died, it started to go about a month back, but now it is just dead. and it is gonna cost me a ton to ship it back to the company, and the thing is less than 6 months old.

tell me about it. then as i called tech support to get it rma'd, every time i got to next in the que, i got cut off. happened 4 times and wasted an hour of my time before i got fed up and fired off an email. after i got back from class and i spen another half hour waiting to be next, i finally got in. sheesh! stupid monitor. you'd expect better from something you pay decent money for.

Sys...you have a friend you can borrow a monitor from? You can fire up the client and keep it cracking until you get a replacement monitor. you don't need the monitor to crack :) Borrow one for 10 minutes, start your client and away you go. :)

Actually... the machine can continue to crack nicely without a monitor...
Why lose it?

well because it was for a while, then it reset a few times and i don't know what was causing it... :( so i don't want to start it back up without knowing if there is something wrong.

I concure, if you have set the client to load/run at startup, power it up and let it run.

Your system might pause on startup if a mouse or keyboard isn't plugged in, but it should start up just fine without a monitor attatched.

The client should run/flush/update normally. Even if you have to crack randoms, it would be better than not running.

Are you sure the monitor is bad and not something else in the system?
