Why is gambling illegal for anyone under 21??? Isn't it the same concept arcade games that give out tickets that can be exchanged for prizes? If you hit a special mark (odds against your favor), you get a "jackpot" full of tickets.

Why is insider trading illegal? Isn't that an advantage to being into a company?

Why are there age limits on certain video games? If the kid has knowledge about the game, wouldn't it acceptable for him to play it? Even for videos, if a child decides to purchase hannibal and gets his a$$ frightened out of him, wouldn't that just be a lifes lesson?

I guess my morals are in the wrong place or something, but why are those unnaceptable?

I'm going to leave several of the above to the true liberals.....but as far as insider trading is concerned.

Do you, as an investor want the management dumping their shares a day before they know they are going to post bad earnings?

Watch Wall Street and it kinda gives you an idea of what insider trading is. Essentially, you are manuipulating privledged info for YOUR personal gain at the expense of others.

I can't quite see what "liberal" has to do with these issues, many of the more right leaning people are ought there trying to bring video game violence (and sexuality in the media) to forefront. I think your average liberal (or conservative) has more pressing concerns that these.

in Minnesota the minimum age to go into the casinos is 18.

I believe its illegal because people over the age of 21 don't enjoy all the young punks that come into the joints. I LOVE the 21 age rule, because the worst fricken, bust card taken, jackoff blackjack players are 18-20 year olds.

Then obviously, nothing you said caused me any pain. ;)

Now, if you really want to get into a pissing match about whether liberals have any brain power, we can go at it on an intellectual shootout any time you think (assuming you can think) you can take me.

Well, you have to have morals before you put them somewhere. ;)

As for gambling, most are in establishments serving liquor. You also are more likely to understand that gambling in casinos is a ripoff because the odds are stacked against you. ;)

As for insider trading, how would you like to play poker with someone who always knows what the next card in the deck is going to be? Since they know the cards, its illegal for them to make bets off of it before everyone else sees the cards. Legalities or morals don't seem to stop them tho.

Nor does "liberal." All that literally sounds very conservative to me.

You can gamble at 18 in Minnesota.

Yes insider trading gives an insider an advantage. An extremely unfair advantage over a regular shareholder. Shouldn't the basket be the same height at both ends of the court?

Why are video games rated? Why are movies rated? For the simple reason that parental involvement is a good thing. A parent can chose to buy or not to buy a specific "MA" video game for a child, just like a parent can choose to bring a child to an "R" movie.

Those questions are pretty dumb, and the conservatives are far more tight-assed about that than the liberals.

Speaking of conservatives, can't the US have another civil war in which all of them get slaughtered? Would make the world a much better place.

Tight-assed conservatives are valuable. We don't want the all to disappear. In the first place they provide comic relief. Also liberals often go off track. It's great to have them in the wings ready to devour some liberal so stupidly morally bankrupt to imagine, for example, that it's no big deal to be married and get a blow job from a near child. It might serve the next genius level politician with tremendous potential to keep it in his pants and focus on doing the job of serving the people.

Because there are, and always will be, people who believe it is their duty to protect you from yourself, think they know better than you.
