I was at my eye doctor yesterday and there was this middle-aged woman with her son, may be 7-9 year old boy.

Apparently this young dude went to men's restroom without his dad and without telling his mom. And oh my god, when he came back, his mom (this middlea-ged woman) created hell in front of probably 30 people. She started explaining all possible consequences of going alone to men's restroom. For example: 1- he could get kidnapped
2- get raped
3- get abused
4- get into mess, meaning falling into toilet etc.

And I am serious, those were her exact words. I am asking what kind of mother would yell and explain all these things to 7-9 year old kid??? It went on for like 15 minutes until she was called by Doctor.

I think she did not have sense of what to talk in public and was plain stupid.

Cliff Notes:
1- Went to doctor and saw middle-aged lady with her son
2- Son went to men's rest room without anybody from his family with him
3- Woman started telling all nasty things that could happen to him in MEN's restroom in front of everybody.
4- My opinion, woman was stupid and lacked any sense of how to talk to children.
 
i agree with scolding him for not letting her know where he was. but she shouldve kept it low key instead of allowing everyone to hear. or better yet, took him outside and told him.

Interesting story, I hate loud-mouthed women (men, too) like this. Don't know when to be quiet and use some tact.
 
7-9 years old? Jesus. It's a DOCTOR'S OFFICE, not a crackhouse. A kid can't take a piss without sayso in a doctor's office, and then get lectured about getting raped. Today's mothers are some of the most unreasonable and senseless beings on the planet.
 
You don't teach kids to go by themselves so that you can bitch them out for doing so. And you don't tell a kid he could get raped in the men's bathroom. Where is he supposed to go?

At age 9 I was taking the bus from my boarding school to home by myself...
