How did the premise that other regions music is somehow mindless get started? there is just as much talent in asia, europe, etc as there is in the rest of the world.

Because the music is manufactured by two corporations using a computer and they get women who are little more than either have big butts/boobs, and can sing in a single way with no variations other than can sing in more than a half key.

There is effectively ONE genre of music in korea.

There is no variation, everything is pre-choreographed by "experts" and there will never be anything that goes "against" the norm.

There will never be an "american idiot" type song in Korea. Not that I'm saying that that song is a pinnacle of song writing, but its more imaginative then most of korean songs for the past decade.

Hell, she comes out and sings how religion is fantasy made to "control you and me". How's that for going against the norm?

She also has a duet with the man who rapes her called Fuck U. She isn't some indie. She's a major pop star. What popular Western artist would ever do a song like that?
