Speaking of bad drivers, I almost got T-boned in my personal car about an hour ago. REALLY close.

Being your [oink]personal[/oink] car makes a difference?

I think he was just heading off the "OMG, were you in your squad car at the time?!" question.

That too.

sorry, she wasn't blocking me from backing out, i had already backed out of my space, she was blocking the entrance/exit. if she had like most normal people stopped her car off to the right side of the parking lot, i could have gotten by her on her left. if she had asked her family to only exit on the right side of her car, i still could have squeezed by her.

no, she had to put her @ss right dab smack in the middle of the road to the entrance and unload her family to BOTH sides of the car.

i'm surprised that any of you could possibly imagine this scenario as anything other than EXTREMELY inconsiderate.

maybe it was a lot worse than i'm imagining, but i still find it silly that you got all worked up because of this. she parked to let her family out. maybe she had good reason to do so. who knows? did YOU stop to consider her motivations? if not, that'd make you just as inconsiderate, no?

again, imagine the scenario one more time. she came into a parking lot with one entrance / exit. there are two rows of parking spaces. she is in the lane between these to rows. she didn't pull off to the right side of the lane like most normal people she stopped in the FVCKING MIDDLE. next, even if she did save herself a few seconds by stopping in the MIDDLE and unloading her family to BOTH SIDES of the car. after they unloaded, she had to pull into the parking space to TURN THE FVCKING CAR AROUND AGAIN.

INCONSIDERATE

PlatinumGold, I for one think you should have put it in gear and took out the whole minivan.

BTW, I hate people like that too. ;) And let me tell you, there are an ASS load of them out there. :|

Maybe next time she will get there before you leave and park next to your car. Therefore allowing her family to leave several "door dings" in your car as they get out. Lighten up, life's too short as it is.

Ya.

my problem is, i drive for a living more or less. i don't but i do drive a lot. being on the road a lot hasn't increased my tolerance for this type of behavior.

another example, i'm rolling down Route 1 in NJ. speed limit 55 but not limited access. i pull over into the right lane as i'm going to make a right at the next light, all of a sudden the person in front of me comes to a COMPLETE stop to let the person coming out of the parking lot into the lane.

i am all for being considerate and all, but who comes to a full and complete stop when there is a significant amount of traffic on the road and the average speed on that road is 55 to 60 mph?

btw, to everyone who is trying to say i shouldn't let this get under my skin

i never let anything fester, i let her have it at the moment, i am complaining vociferously about it now, but tomorrow it will be forgotten.

all you that claim you don't let it get to you. sure, i believe you.

i'm not trying to give you a hard time, i'm just saying that people usually get all worked up in the car for silly reasons. there could be a million reasons that the woman thought her actions were best. maybe she was trying to save her family some walking because of a physical disability, who knows.

regardless, i'm done with this because i don't want to come off being a dick to you for no reason. life's too short to get pissed off on the road, imo.

This is why minivans need doors on ONLY one side. Seriously, mine only has a door on the left, why the hell do you need two sliding doors (unless you have 3 kids in safety seats, in which case you need to STOP BREEDING NOW)

Every state has bad drivers, but New Jersey has the highest concentration of them by far.
