STUPID FILE SAVING PROBLEM VISTA!

hey, i just upgraded vista from windows xp
and.....well i cant save any kind of file from any kind of program. i looked up DEP and all that stuff, and i turned off DEP, but nothings different. i need help with this
how do i fix =(
 
You are likely going to have to post a more detailed description of your problem to get much help. When are you receiving the error? What is the EXACT error message you get when trying to save a file? What happens if you try to copy or move a file on your hard drive, especially to the folders where you are having problems saving files?
 
when i try to save any file in any program, it crashes. like in microsoft word, just comes up with the window Microsoft Office has stopped working blabla, close program =\ winamp, when i try to save a playlist, it just simply closes. also i cant save downloads, i have to open them but i can download from firefox or safari
 
Sounds like your upgrade choked on something. I hate to say it, but the best bet would be to use a PE or Linux boot CD, back up your data to CD/DVD or external media, and then format, and do a clean install of Vista (there are workarounds to using the upgrade Vista DVD to do a clean install, google for them). You will have to reinstall all of your apps, but the overall result of a clean Vista install is MILES better than an XP to Vista upgrade. Good luck.
