Some stupid blue jays constructed a stupid nest in a stupid tree right beside my stupid window. Some stupid blue jays layed some stupid eggs in the stupid nest and now there are stupid baby birds. What should my stupid self do about the stupid baby birds that have a REAL HIGH PITCHED stupid cry.

I don't really want to kill any birds... not matter how stupid the birds

In my experience if you tamper with the nest it's likely that the mother will abandon it.

Oh! Well then don't move the bird nest unless you know the mother won't find out you did.

You can't move a bird's nest and have them still nest in it. I used to raise birds outside in nests. The first scent of human they get on their nests, they never come back. I used to experiment with that when I was younger -like, 12. Had boxed bird nests, bird houses, etc. We had birds nest in the same spot every year and each year after they were gone for the season, I would try different things in their nests to see if they'd come back. The one I got close enough to in order to touch with my hand, they never came back.

First of all, don't do anything if there are young still there. If you can get up that high, check to see if there are eggs in the nest (you'll have to get CLOSE downwind or use binoculars. Eggs are sometimes burried). If you can hear the young, just wait until they're old enough to fly and leave the nest. Be nice. They're instinctive animals and you're a logical, rational being (supposedly).

Well, it sounds like the only thing you can do is leave the nest there and try to deal with it.

What's not smart? The only things that can get to the nest are extremely light predators (cat's usually are heavy enough to break the limbs at that height, if they're as high as they usually make their nests) like other birds - which the only thing they'll have to worry about are those stupid birds that lay their eggs in other bird nests so they'll raise them. I forget the name...

Please don't move the nest... It won't take the little birds too long to grow up and make prettier noises. Play through the pain!

Grow up.

no cruel is waking me up at 5:30am on a Saturday.... besides crows are just rats that fly...

No, cruel is you abusing animals who are outside and doing what they were made to do. If you don't like it, find another way to deal with it.

If you don't want to kill the birds, just hire a youngster in the neighborhood. Or call up donlondon, he has experience.
