Stupid automated sprinklers

They usually don't come on until around 2:00 in the morning. Why they picked this time to come on when I was running out to my car is stupid. It's not like the trees and plants even need water right now.

Just a little bit. I think I'll live though. But why do they need to come on when we've had inches and inches and inches of rain the past couple of weeks. We're definitely not in a drought situation.

Must say though, was kind of weird walking down my sidewalk and I start getting sprinkled on all of a sudden.

It's stupid to put the sprinklers on now. It will create an environment for stuff to grow that can harm the plants. The best time is in the morning between 4 and 6, so the grass/plants can get their water for the day and it won't all evaporate like it would during the daytime or just sit for hours and hours allowing molds and fungi to grow on the plants.

They run on the same schedule over and over. To change them during rainy periods takes time. Everyone knows time costs money so it just is left on its own.

Well considering they came on and aimed about chest level, I needed a towel. But it was dark and nobody saw me so I ran out to my car anyway and then came in and changed shirts.

When I was little I liked to stomp on the sprinkler head when they popped out of the ground. Is that bad?
