Stupid allergies

My allergies are freakin keeping me awake. I laid in bed the past 2 hours tossing and turning and sniffling and sneezing and I'm back out of bed again. Decided that some Benadryl is in order to try to stop this crap. I'm tired, but I can't fall asleep. Argh.

If Benadryl has the same stuff as my allergy medicine, it has psuedoephidrine in it. It won't help you sleep. Trust me.

No psuedoephidrine here. Active ingredient is Dephenhydramine Hydrochloride. Whew. That's a mouth full. Benadryl does indeed put me to sleep, and dry me up pretty good. I was trying to avoid taking it, because it dries me out so good that I wake up with a dry mouth.

My damn allergy med has psuedoephidrine in it to counteract the drowsy effects of the garbage medication that I take.

Nice thing is, you get a body buzz all day when you take it! <g>

I hate it. I didn't fall asleep until 5am. Woke up at 10am with a dry, sore throat and my nose running again. This time of year sucks.

I use Chlorotrimeton (the green box). It works wonders for me and I don't feel drowsy. It is over the counter and made by Schering-Plough (the makers of prescrition Claritin).

i used to use travis-D... don't really do much fer me really. Visine-A (formerlly known as Ocuhist) amazingly did a lot better for me than what I had prescribed to me (then again, there was a 1 yr difference in them..).

The stuff you shoot up yur nose, doesn't do crap for me. I've tried Chlorotrimeton too, seemed to be ok, i need to buy some more... march passed w/ me not feelin a thing, and i got to cocky about allergies not effecting me (usually happens early march) 😛

go to doctor...get prescription for allegra and allegra D...daytime/nightime versions of the drug. Nothing short of getting the allergy shots can touch my allergies except allegra..tried zyrtech, nasal spray, and every over the counter / home remedy I know of...only allegra for me 🙂

I prefer the Chlorphenimarine Maleate/ Pseudoephedrinhydrochloride combo myself. I heard that Claritin is no better than a sugar pill.

Claritine-D has been very helpful with my allergies. If they're bothering you that much talk to your Doc or an allergist(like I did) to help you out with the right medication for you.

Man, I'm suffering here too. I'm taking Allegra D and I'm still like 70% congested. Claritan doesn't work on me and Zyrtec doesn't have a decongestant. The only real allergy medicine that worked for me was Seldane but they pulled it because I think over the long term it kills you or something to that regard.
