Stupid AIM..... <rant>

I'm really starting to hate aim, I've been using it with trillian now for quite some time, and even longer before trillian came out. It just started today but trillian can't sign on to aim, this isn't only happening with me apparently. So I go to use aim and I get it's stupid message about how I'm trying to log on too soon and I have to wait a little bit to long on. I guess their idea of a little bit is more like an hour. ARGHHHH!!!!!

btw: anyway to get around this? maybe connect to a different aim server? not the oscar one... I know there is another one... what is it?
 


<< Many of you reported difficulty connecting to AOL this morning, and the fix is to go into your preferences (Prefs->AIM->Misc) and turn off the "Activate SecureIM Capabilities" feature.

NOTE: If you still cannot login and receive a "you've logged in too many times" error, wait 5-10 minutes for the flag to clear on the servers.

We are working on re-activating SecureIM as soon as possible. Note that it appears to still work under ICQ at the moment.

Ah, I thought the AIM problem was onyl with me too.......thank goodness

Well their fix helped me. For some reason I had trouble getting onto their site and just got reminded of the problem from this post
