Stun Gun Ends Standoff With Man on Crane

ATLANTA - A 56-hour standoff with a homicide suspect perched on a construction crane ended peacefully early Saturday when police shocked him with a stun gun as he reached for a cup of water, authorities said.

If he's a homicide suspect threatening to jump, then as long as he's not going to hurt anyone on the bottom, let him jump. The only problem I see is that somebody has to clean up a gawdawful mess.

Law enforcement shouldn't encourage people to take their lives. Unless it saves the lives of the innocent.

And just because he's a homicide suspect does not mean he's committed a crime. For all we know, he could have been framed...and he's just really wacky in the brain. I'm not saying thats the case...but lets treat the guy fairly.
