Stuffy nose.....

I hate stuffy nose. And the nasal decongestant stuff doesnt seem to help. And why is it that it's alternating between the two sides of the nose? The past hour it has been on the left side, now my right side of the nose is congested WTF?

thanks for listening.

Edit: All of this is caused by all the allergens out there....Grrr...

I took sudafed for awhile but it didn't always help. Then my mom bought me some sort of nasal spray. It works pretty well, but it's kinda a pain to use. Maybe check those out?

I heard those potentially cause rebound nasal congestion but they're fine if you don't use them for more than 3 days? Will check them out tomorrow

lol, i thought maybe that only happened to me....one nostril will be plugged, the other running....then it will switch randomly...

Have you ever tried this?

Have you tried this yourself? Did it help? What was the ratio of salt/water?

Yes I have. It does help almost right away, but is more effective over time. And I believe the ratio is 10 to 1 water to salt and be sure to use water that when you stick your finger in it, it feels the same temp. Also do it over a sink if you decide to try it. 🙂

Did you let the salt water run from the nose to the mouth or from one nostril to the other (by tilting the head, I assume) ?

I heard these things can cause a situation that eventually amounts to addiction. You literally can't breathe through your nose without them. They do work but I recommend using them VERY sparingly. Like when you want to get a good night's sleep but can't.
