I was stoked when I read the thread title. Now I'm just steamed. Think what this type of show could do to tender minds. Thomas just carried water for the powers that be.

You might say that poor ole Thomas here is being... railroaded.

She launched her study after watching the programme with her three-year-old daughter.
She then analysed the plots, characters and other aspects of 23 different episodes to draw her conclusions, which she then presented at a conference of political science in Canada.

This lady is a quack, the only reason her "study" is getting any attention is because it is accusing a beloved childrens show of political agenda.

Heck, we might as well accuse Dora the explorer of being a communist show because she talks about sharing in a positive manner.

Are people really this dumb? I mean seriously, some of my most liberal friends watched thomas growing up, and they are still some of my most liberal friends. Parents pay the biggest role in political bias, not barney.

He aught to give those guys the roundhouse kick.

That would only add fuel to the fire. Personally, I do not see the logic in being upset about the show's run being assigned such a low grade. Perhaps if the author of this study spent more time conducting herself as a parent she would better ensure that her children start life out on the right track.

I think it is inexcusable for us to try and Gandy dance our way around her motives without gauging the fact that she is blatantly engineering a scandal. Sometimes, people just need a hard kick to the caboose to make them realize that they are the drivers of their lives. Their destinies are not set on rails; a children's television program is nothing but a dim signal on the wayside of a child's development.

"The female characters weren't necessarily portrayed any more negatively than the male characters or the male trains, but they did tend to play more secondary roles and they're often portrayed as being bossy or know-it-alls," she said.

Seems accurate enough

She's also a fucking idiot. She calls for tighter controls. Hey, moron professor, you have the tightest control available to you - the Power Button on your TV. Stupid bitch.

"It also represents a conservative political ideology that punishes individual initiative, opposes critique and change, and relegates females to supportive roles," she said.

wtf, she's taking liberal ideology and making it sound like it's conservative lol.
