I don't really see anything new that they have introduced since my anthro class. The physical characteristics as well as behavior can be seen in modern day tundra dwelling natives. They tend to be shorter, thicker skined, prognathic facial structure as well as their dietary intake of mostly meats. The modern day eskimo's are direct descendents of the ancient Neanderthals as well as having a little homo sapien mixed in.
Study Shows Modern Humans and Neanderthals didn't mix
Where, exactly, did you get your anthropology degree? The modern day eskimo's are direct descendents of the ancient Neanderthals as well as having a little homo sapien mixed in

then how do you explain plumbers & unibrowed people?
That's so wrong. If they were, their DNA would be hugely different. And besides, like someone else has already said, the neanderthals lived in europe and western asia! The modern day eskimo's are direct descendents of the ancient Neanderthals as well as having a little homo sapien mixed in
I think CNN is puting it nicely by saying that homo sapians "outsmarted" the neanderthals. I think we .probably wiped them out very violently and quickly.Another theory is that modern humans had better minds and an organized culture that enabled them to outsmart the Neanderthals for limited resources of game and other food.

I was too polite to say that...but now that I think about how off the wall that comment was I too want to again ask where he got that information.

How do you think humanoids got to North America? They flew?
Neanderthals were in France(some still there) humans came up through Africa and drove the Neanderthals into Scandinavia. The humans kept pushing until they drove them through Siberia and across the land bridge in to modern day Alaska and Canada. It was not that long ago that there was a land bridge between Alaska and Russia along the Aleutian island chain. Ask anyone even justint from Bob Jones U knows that.

Actually, tell you what.
Even if you don't want to divulge where you received your "education" in Anthropology, please just give me a credible cite that supports your assertation.

What does that have to do with the Inuit being direct descendents of Neanderthals?
