Yeah, that's clearly the speedbump in my plan too. Maybe if I ask real nicely? Or let her buy more shoes or somethin'? Not sure...

I'm just waiting for another leftist solution. I guess there are "re-education camps" also right?
How about full-spectrum sex ed for kids? No bullets in anyone's heads necessary.

I belive info was referring to 100 million adults :D

I asked the wife to become "abstinence only" once, but she instead decided on abstinence only instead :D

The findings are based on the federally funded National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health, a survey begun in 1995 that tracked 20,000 young people from high school to young adulthood. At the start of the project, the students were 12 to 18 years old and agreed to detailed, sexually explicit interviews. They were re-interviewed in 1997 and again in 2002, when 11,500 also provided urine samples.

Rip, I am sorry. You're are NEVER going to find a any study that matches up to the sheer size and credibly as this one.

There is nothing wrong with abstinence programs; however, there also needs to be very thorough sexual education programs in place as well. Unfortunately, many individuals are in the dark about many aspects of it, including those who are active. Even simple things need to be relayed, like there are very few STDs that are orifice-specific.

You're absolutely right, however there is definatly something WRONG with abstiance-only programs. People, will have sex reguardless of what you tell them. If you hate aborition so much, why the fsck not educate them on how to use contraceptives.

If your agenda is to "maximize" health outcomes for children here's the facts . . . unadulterated by BS:

1) Abstinence is the only safe form of pre-marital sex.
2) Abstinence is not popular with anyone.
3) 99% of non-pledging kids will have pre-marital sex.
4) 88% of pledging kids will have pre-marital sex.
5) Comprehensive sex education programs DECREASE ALL risk factors for STD and pregnancy EXCEPT . . . age of 1st intercourse and # of partners.
6) Abstinence only sex education programs DECREASE two of the largest risk factors for STD and pregnancy . . . age of 1st intercourse and # of partners.

Best evidence is that a society that encourages abstinence while fully educating/supporting sexually active teens . . . is likely to produce the greatest aggregate good.

I'm serious.

yep i remeber back in the early 90s when i was in eighth grade and i took sex ed, they stressed abstinence, but also taught correct forms of contraceptives, the risk rates of each, types of stds, symptoms, AIDS, i was really great in terms of the comprehensivness of the course, but i will say it never stopped me from having pre-marital sex

i've 'been' with we more than a handful of women before i married, and they were all smart enough to use birth control and request condom, its good to see those non-abstinence only programs have value and has at least created some responsible individuals

any prude who tells you that they saved themselves until the wedding night and also said that the sex was great is simply lying, that first time is very tramatic (as i'm sure any gyno will tell you) and it simply hurts (so i've been told by previous girlfriends), so there is simply no way a woman would hace sex for the first time on her wedding night and actually be devirginized AND actually find is arousing, unless she was not a virgin, or she liked to ride horses

i favor non-abstinence only sex ed, and when i decide to finally have kids in a few years, i hope they get the same information as i did in public schools
