I struggled and clawed my way to the top and had in my hand everything an American dreams. Then when I found I had no soul I got really pissed. Who is the asshole that did this to me? Let me at um, let me at um. I am a lion. Gurrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth.

we're stuck in iraq watching the KIA/WIA count for our troops grow and grow with no end in sight, and no-one in the administration is telling us when or how it will end.
our national debt keeps climbing by the billions with no end in sight and the present administration doesn't seem to care
price gouging at the gas pumps has become blatant
our nation is politically polarized in a spiteful and hateful kind of way and it's steadily tearing our country apart from the inside out, while other nations are looking at this with wonderment and glee.
natural disasters are becoming more frequent
we keep hearing that global warming is affecting the world climate and it seems like our leaders don't want to do anything about it because doing so will put a dent in big business profit margins.
the gap between the rich and the poor is growing and accelerating
distrust toward our own government is growing
outsourcing is draining higher paying jobs out of the US and is being replaced with lower paying jobs
and on and on and on....

so it's easy to see why we americans are getting ruder. and then we get used to this higher level of rudeness to where we accept it as normal behavior. then we act that way toward people of other nations because we think it's normal behavior and get surprised by the reaction we get in return. so then we get defensive and even ruder still.
