Studies on Office from Dell or Open License

I am trying to get some information together to figure out if getting Office from Dell, or buying it from MS's Open License program is cheaper overall.

Have any of you done a study like this, or know of someone who has?

Thanks!

What is your hardware turnover rate? How often do you upgrade Office?

A volume license will allow you to easily manage the number of licenses in your organization, and each license is transferable if you upgrade a PC. Volume licenses are also nice for imaging / bulk deployment. The individual license cost will be more expensive than an OEM license.

An OEM license is cheaper, but once the hardware is replaced, you need a new copy of Office.

The goal is to upgrade the hardware every 5 years or so. We previously purchased a current basic version office from Dell 75% of the time, and we don't change what is loaded, unless a need develops for Access or something like that. For those situations we do have some volume licenses.

We also heavily use Terminal Services/Citrix, and I am currently looking into how that licensing works as well.
