The obvious joke responses are present in this thread (at least I hope they are jokes) and I can't help but wonder...the businessmen and women at Apple, do they really sleep soundly at night? What about Foxconn? Or any of the other companies who do this but don't get the media exposure?

I guess I'd be no good at business. I don't consider myself a humanitarian of any sorts (I eat meat, don't recycle, don't make donations) but If I worked in the strategic wing of Apple or any other company and stories like this reached me, I'd try my hardest to have it changed. And probably get fired.
 
Just goes to show...Apple and Foxconn are committed to increasing profits where ever they can!

I'm surprised that all the "free market" and "full-tilt capitalism" folks aren't in here saying what a great idea this is.
