I'm not sure what's so funny? Those "rich" doctors, lawyers, and people with expensive grad degrees are rich because nobody can afford that schooling except for those who are already rich. Creating a monopoly on those types of degrees. For the rich only, making the next generation rich as well. Why do you think there is a certain demographic of people who are known to be good with money always push their children into these degrees while the rest of us sit here with our thumb up our asses?

My solution makes it attainable to anybody as long as they work... Those "rich" people won't be so rich anymore if more people have these degrees and there is more competition in the job market. Right?

What are you thinking? Give it 5 minutes of thought. Let's see if your solution is any less "haha"?

And yes, businesses shouldn't be able to rack up a huge amount of debt then declare bankruptcy. I believe business shouldn't even be able to create debt to begin with. The owner should earn the money by providing goods and services. Start with a lemonade stand and grow from there. In the business world (at least with a corporation/LLC), there is nobody to hold accountable. Trump and all his bankrupt businesses. He pockets that cash and nothing happens. He just keeps doing it. I think what he has done is also criminal. Someone is paying the price, and it isn't him.

You realize that plenty of people go into debt from law or medical school, and then those high salaries help pay back the debt?

According to this article, only about 26% of law students graduated with no debt. So the majority are by far incurring various levels of debt to help pay for school.

And then you can also drill down into other demographic analyses like educational attinment of parents and so on

It's a Stockholm syndrome thing. They think they are somehow more special than the rest of the hostage victims, but they really aren't.

Your ignorance of this topic is showing. As @Fenixgoon mentions you do not need to be rich at all to go into one of those professions. I grew up in a town where my household income in the mid 90's was like $30k, which is hardly rich, yet several of my friends are doctors or lawyers.

This sounds like a truly horrible idea. If someone has a great idea I want them to implement it now, not wait 10 years to save up enough nickels from their lemonade stand to self-fund. What a disaster that would be.

Sure, you disputed my very idea that the wellbeing of the country was the most important thing, instead substituting your morality. If you think a poorer but more 'moral' country is better that's fine, but I think that's nuts.

Bankruptcy (ie: telling people legally to shove what you owe them) is as American as indentured servitude via forced debt, racism and industrial pollution. Fvck. Apple. pie.

I now care just as much about "law" (how quaint) as the scumbag GOP and the $hitty/greedy US corporations that only care about PERPETUAL profit for shareholders no matter what the human or environmental cost... in other words only when following them BENEFITS ME directly.
