Stuck on shutdown screen

I dont know whats wrong with my pc and its staring to tick me off because its a new build. The problem im having with it is that sometimes when i shut it down it gets stuck at the shutdown screen and i have to end up holding the power button to shut it down. Im also getting random bluescreens sometimes. I dont know what the problem is. can somebody please help?

That is typically a corrupted process or program that isn't closing but there are other causes as well. Some people have fixed that issue with a simple malware scan and others have had issues with power settings and windows firewall. The blue screens might point you in the right direction in your case. I would pull up your event log and look for critical errors.
 
The easiest way to get to the log is just type "event log" in the Start/Search line. Once you get there look at the Summary Of Administrative Events". Are there any "Critical" events and, if so, can you copy/paste it here?
