Stuck my finger in my CPU fan :(

luckily most chicks don't evar take the side of the case off, othewise i'm sure it would happen 😉

It wasn't very hawt. I just took her ram out and sold it to a friend of mine heh.

She had two x 512mb pc2100 and now she has 512mb pc2700

Sold an 1800+ w/ ECS K7S5A + the ram for $90

poor her 😉 esp for sims2 i'd say she wanted the gig 😉 or does the extra speed make it fairly the same?

My CPU fan runs at 4800, but I guess I possess the rare good sense not to stick my finger (or anything else) in there. 😉

It's running at 266 because the processor is only a 1800+ too. I only put in the extra 512 for her last week when I remembered I wasn't using it anymore. I asked her to specifically notice if it seemed to make sims2 play any better and she said it didn't.

She does have a radeon 9500pro though, which is a pretty bada$$ card for a girl heh.

is it a t-bred or a palamino? Cos my t-bred (B0 stepping) easy cranks the fsb up to 166, and would hit 200 i reckon with a pci/agp lock (i'm stuck at 185)...

They were both palaminos. I made about 6 or so computers with 1800+ processors when they were the best speed/performance ratio... which seemed to be about 6-8 months.

Yeah, that would hurt a lot. My fan is a Thermaltake and maxes out at around 6500 RPMs. That would hurt like a biotch for a couple of days (that is if i had anything left of my finger).

if that... palos could be very slow. i had some that would never go even 100mhz over stock😛 that being said they were dirt cheap

If you know which way the blades are spinning, you can stick your finger in any computer fan safely. It's the angle of attack that matters. Go against the direction of travel and you'll chop skin, go with it and you'll just have the fan blades slapping your finger.
