I found the downed flyer, I killed all the Germans in the two houses, church and truck, I inspected the church, and all around it...... where the heck is the safe house?? Thanks, I am stuck.
 
All you have to do throughout the entire game is follow the compas in the top corner of your screen. Point yourself in the direction of the arrows, and as you get closer to the objective, the arrows will get closer together. This way you will never get lost and you will actually know where the next objective is.

OMAHA BEACH IS SO INCREDIBLY HARD!!! AHHHHHHHHHH

Yes, the compass is a big help, but I still stumbled around quite a bit at the small church near the downed plane.

You have to PUSH the alter aside to reveal a hidden underground passage.
