Ah, I remember those days. Tank up on pizza, pop, and cake and spend some quality time with the kids when they're young. Gotta love it....

Threads like this remind me that my parents must have loved me for all the times I went as a kid (a lot). There was also one called Fun-Zone or something that I went to before that, but I think they shut down in the mid/late 90's because I haven't seen them since.

I remember fun zones. I always liked them more than Chuck.E's.

We used Chucky Cheese as a reward with my kids. If they did something out of the ordinary we took them to Chucky Cheese as their reward. Of course we used coupons to get special deals on buying tokens. Remember the tokens? That is where you would buy like a 100 tokens for $10 (Actually discount coupons for Chucky Cheese are still on the Internet) and then exchange the tickets from the machines for something like an eraser or piece of gum. My fond memories of Chucky Cheese are remembering kids grabbing things out of the salad bar with their bare dirty hands, bullies taking other kids tokens and tickets, and getting hit by food when the table next to us got too rowdy. On the bright side, we did watch Chucky get kicked hard in the gonads once by a little kid. If you didn’t know, even a big mouse will squeak and squeal.

I went there once. Pizza wasn't good but the chicken was very edible. I actually went back for more the next day. Ordering to-go from Chuck E Cheese?! Yup.

If you up your dating prospects from 12 to 18, you can tend to avoid Chuck E Cheese altogether if you stay away from single moms.

Meh, it's not that bad. We also use chuck e cheese and other places as a reward for good grades and behavior for my 7 year old. At least once a month we end up at either chuck e cheese, mr. gattis, or puzzles fun dome.

Grandkids (7/2) love it. We take them there about every other week if we are around.

Once you have had children, a different perspective on life starts to develop; not as selfless/selcentered as those 12-30 year olds that think they know everything about life.

Our whole family love going to Chuck E. We don't go there a lot, maybe once every other month or so, but when we do, we all like to play. My son is of course running around playing whatever random games he likes, but my wife and I always carefully choose the machines with high return value (quick and easy, potential bonus tickets, etc) :)

We are actually semi-serious about it (it's silly, I know) and have our benchmark point of what we consider a 'successful' Chuck E. trip. Our average return rate is about 600 tickets per $10/$15 worth of coins (depending on what type of coupon we can get our hands on). 600 or more tickets per 90-100 coins and it's a good day for us. It's not super impressive, but remember that about half of those coins are used by my son and he doesn't really contribute much to the ticket total. We collect these tickets over time and only cash them out when they're at the 2k-3k level so my son gets to get the big prizes.

I also kind of like the chicken wings. It's not spectacular or anything like that, but I think it's pretty good. From the stories in this thread it really sounds like some brutal Chuck E.s you guys went to. Ours are actually pretty nice. Sure there are always these kids who push/bully/stalk your kid, but it's no different than pretty much any playground out there.

I used to date a chick who had a little 6 year old boy. She used to take him to CeC as rewards for good grades. One day she invites me, I accept. The little boy went nuts in the place, me not so much. So the next time she takes him, I was invited again. This time before I went in, I quickly gulped down 1 can of four loko. Walked in that bitch with a buzz and had a mother fucking BLAST. Me and kid started playing the games that gives tickets and he ended up winning a shit load of ticket with me cheering him. Now that we broke up, Im kid-less again and want to go back to CeC but dont want to look like a creep\pedo :(
