Haha, beat me to it. Overly complex passwords just result in:

1) Being posted to the monitor or in a desk drawer.
2) Recycled use of the same passwords

Strong password would be something not found in a brute force dictionary. Something like 0fw9eomfgh4x12

Then they will give out your password to anyone on the internet that know the answer to "What city were you born in?" or "What's your mother's maiden name?"

Then to get the P/W back they need access to your email, which is probably secured with aforementioned answers, or something equally unsecure.

That passphrase would take forever to crack and it is easy to remember.

I have passwords that openly jab at employees who are late, leave early and have constantly been advised about it.

wb@8N815 = work begins @ 8 NOT 815 for that constantly tardy employee

li1hN1.5 = lunch is 1 hour NOT 1.5 (an hour and a half)

my bank forces me to change my online password every 30 or 60 days... forget which now... but it can never be anything that was previously a password... and it pisses me off cause i have three accounts and it is really hard to come up with new stuff that is new/different and still something i would remember.

but security is a good thing.
