I personally don't see the problem with a 16 year old willingly stripping for $$$. I also have no problem with prostitution.

Ditto. What the fuck is the big deal? They know what they're doing.

Time to face reality. Adults just don't magically become adults when they turn 18.

So long as it's indoors, says the article - I guess that refers to the solicitation part.

State law currently allows indoor prostitution, and two bills intended to ban it have stalled in the General Assembly.

funny, that's exactly how much it costs

How is this any different than a 16 year old appearing "almost nude" in a movie, on the cover a magazine, etc? The media has been "prostitutionalizing and strippifying" 16 year olds for as long as media has existed.

So much win. This is how America should be. Violence w/o the sex is so lame. No wonder there are so many sausage parties.
In so many parts of the world these girls could walk around at the beach topless and no one would pay attention (except the perverts)

And our TV morals are completely backwards. Violence is ok, but sexuality is off limits.

I think I would rather have teens banging each other rather than popping caps into each other.

one is population control, the other is population out of control...

I have a feeling that a poll might indicate a certain correlation were it to ask:

1)
A) I oppose 16 yr olds stripping
B) I am in favor of 16 yr olds stripping

2)
A) I have a teenage daughter
B) I do not have a teenage daughter

Anyway, I think it's a trickier question that it appears on it's face. For those who argue, hey, they know what they're doing, I'd hesitate to be so blase about teenage maturity. Yes, some 16 year olds are banging their boyfriends, etc, but teens aren't known for making the best judgments or recognizing the consequences of their actions, nor how their decisions will affect them in the years down the road. No, teens don't magically become intelligent grownups when they hit 18 but if we can nudge them in a direction other than working the poll for a living, I think we'd be doing them a service.

How many young girls might think of dropping career plans if they learned they could make $50k/yr in cash (conservative est?) stripping? Then they might find themselves later in life in a rather precarious uneducated unemployed situation.

Adults should have a choice in their careers, and if they want to work the sex industry I think that's a valid choice, but the lure of quick bucks and financial independence from parents who start to really become a drag when you're 16 might overpower an otherwise mainstream teen from sticking to school.

I dunno, but when I have a daughter I'd prefer she give the school thing a shot first before getting involved in the seedier side of female career choices, giving ld's to Atot's.

If you are even close to a decent parent, then your daughter would most likely pursue a higher education or something more substantial and reliable than stripping.

If you aren't, then your daughter will probably not amount to shit anyway.

On a side note, stripping is a great way to pay for college, so I guess it would be a good part time job during HS to save up for the future.

No! Little girls are God's innocent and magical beautiful and unique snowflakes until 12:01am on their 18th birthday, after which they instantly become sinful harlot sluts if they even think about sex outside the context of producing children within the Sacrament of Marriage.

This thread is useless without pics. 🙁

But those are illegal! You can watch the girl naked or hell just pay her for sex, but don't take pics!

Not quite. They still have that covered.
State law says that anyone who employs a person under 18 for prostitution or for ?any other lewd or indecent act? faces up to 20 years in prison and up to $20,000 in fines

Damnit I missed that part.

READ THE WHOLE ARTICLE. the part you "missed" is being taken out of context.

Prostitution is LEGAL indoors, and there is nothing stopping a 16 yo stripper from offering sexual "favors" since the AGE OF CONSENT is 16 in the state. So if a 16yo stripper consents to giving you head at the club, no one is there to stop you since she is not employed there for prositution and since the state allows strip clubs, stripping itself is not considered lewd or indecent.

That was going to be my reply. Stripping and education don't have to be mutually exclusive.
