I cant believe I never posted in this thread before, but I feel obligated to share my experiences.
When I got out of boot camp in Oct 97, I was stationed in Florida and went to a number of strip clubs and other such places.
I have to say its a darn good time if you get the right place with the right girls.
Right outside Mayport Naval Station there was a place called Crossroads, and it was great.
The dances and drinks were cheap, the girls were always friendly & usually hot, and normally everyone there was cool and had a good time.
It was like hanging out at a really good bar which also happened to have tons of cute, half nekkid chicks all the time. All my really good bar experiences and most of my good strip club experiences were in that place.
Have been to a number of other clubs in Norfolk, all over Chicago, Minneapolis, Washington DC, LA, Vegas, San Francisco, Bakersfield, and Eugene & Portland (which supposedly has more strip clubs than any other place in the world).
They were all prime examples of the bad things people say when talking about strip joints. The girls were mean or at least disinterested. Their quality of work was poor and they didnt make good conversationalists either. Everything was over priced, and the management and most of the regulars made me feel very uncomfortable just by being there.
Florida got me set up for a big fall with plenty of nice, friendly places in Orlando, Miami, Mayport/Jacksonville and a few other towns I cant recall. Perhaps Daytona or Cocoa.
The girls were always so cool and didnt pressure you for money and when they gave a dance it was good and you could sit and talk with them for 30 minutes afterward.
Assuming the law hasnt been abusing them, I highly encourage everyone who is ticked off at strip clubs to try at least one Florida place the next time they are in the area.
You might be pleasantly suprised.
(NOTE: I have never tried a strip club in Texas.)

1) money first. Always.
2) Keep it strictly business. I don't care if Brad Pitt is in the club your name is Destiny, your from upstate new york and you strip because your mom is in the hospital. End of story.
3) Do not get personal with clients. (re-inforce #2)
4) Do not get intoxicated at work. one or two drinks is okay.
5) Do not get involved with other girls. They are co-workers not friends.
6) Never leave your money around anyone. EVER! Lock your shit up!
7) Do not cockblock.
8) Don't work for free. Don't spend time on guy thats broke!

By far the most entertaining thread on ATOT. The pics don't work, but that doesn't really matter.
Good enough reason for me. Don't care that I missed it....I don't think finding pictures of strippers is to hard on the internet.
She is well on her way. When I confronted her about the drinking/drugs and the talking to a customer on her cell phone...her response "all the other girls do it" .......I rolled my eyes and said...."yeah...you are right...they lead successful happy lives....follow their lead." She didn't get it.

Worked at a strip club and did not get laid. I would say you failed but you are an ATOT member, so I guess it should have been expected lol.

Who said I didn't get laid? I didn't lay these two particular college girls I had staying at my house yes. True.
agreed. I haven't ruled it out completely but I identify with a mack more than a pimp. I don't think I'm cold hearted enough to be a full out pimp....yet.
It seems kinda depressing when you get down deep into this type of work. High level it seems like fun, everyone is having a good time and the girls are making money but obviously having guys look at them and paw all over them for money definately f's with their head. Oh well glad you are done with it, probably for the best.

Well they called me on sunday and asked if they could come back. The brunette and the bitchy blonde again from the first visit. I pulled the trigger....
"Hey now that you have your feet wet, you know what your doing etc... You can be on my team and stay as long as you like but I think 5% of your earnings is a fair price. If you are okay with that I'll see you friday."
She agreed.
So yes my love of money prevails.
