This will be my first time attending a live MMA event.

This will be the first time seeing Fedor live.

This will hopefully be the first time meeting Fedor in person.

Wow dude maybe I could go to this. I moved last week to outside of Detroit. I was actually thinking of going to the last Fedor fight in NJ since I lived in upstate NY. Not only do I really want to see the fight, but if this was Fedor's last fight, to have my first MMA event be Fedor's last fight (hopefully a win) would be awesome!

As for the fight, it could definitely go either way. I think if Dan uses his wrestling well but is able to stay away from submissions, he could get the decision. It's tough to call on the striking cause both have one punch KO power and either could land it. I think Fedor has a slight edge in the striking, Dan with the edge in wrestling, and Fedor with grappling to work submissions from top and bottom.

Pretty decently matched though. Dan, while 40 years old, is still a top fighter and I think a great match for Fedor who no doubt is not as good as he was but still a top fighter too.

I think they're still relevant enough that a win by Dan over Fedor is a great win for his career, and likewise for Fedor over Dan.

This is set up pretty heavily in favor for Fedor to win, if he doesn't win it will be pretty bad.

That said, I think he will win, he's looked fast in the work out videos, lost SOME weight and Dan typically doesn't do well vs. speed.

I don't see Fedor losing here.

I see his biggest challenge as being smarter with top bjj fighters who make him pay for his sloppy overpowering style, and not old fighters like Henderson, who Fedor will probably pulverize.

Has SF ever shown prelims? I don't have Showtime so I go watch it either at a friends or a sports bar. Every SF I have watched its been 5-6 fights and thats all that's shown.

Fedor is going to lose. I like how Dana White put it. This is a lose/lose for Fedor. If Fedor wins, he beat a 185 pounder. If Fedor loses he lost to a 185 pounder.

Yes I'm well away Henderson fights at LHW. But he's really a 185'er

Fedor wins this match up. Dan has been clipped and rocked recently. Fedor will drop him, and finish with either g-n-p or a sub. Dan will keep trying to land the right, but Fedor will win the exchanges.

No way Dan can hold him down, or sub him, and Fedor has some seriously good whiskers too.
