IMHO the tourny was a joke from the get go.

it was a great idea and perfect timing, but they didnt have enough fighters and strikeforce didnt execute well. they had 2 guys in the top 10 and 6 cans. Fedor lost in the first round. Werduum got robbed, and now overeem got cut. now they have 6 nobodies fighting in the "world" grand prix. now theres your joke.

I never thought it was a good idea. If you want certain fighters to fight each other, make the deal and get them in the ring. Doing a tourny where they might fight, is stupid. I had a feeling that Overeem and Fedor would not end up fighting, granted not the way it did happen, but never the less it didn't happen.
