What is your preferred method of stress relief?

As for myself... nothing seems to really work as of late.

What are you stressed about?

Eliminate the source of the stress is the best way...

OR, just stop caring. Stress can't get to you if you just don't fucking care.

Otherwise...hookers and blow.

In today's world, apathy is a virtue. True story.

The sun's gonna come up tomorrow, and it'll continue to do so until it burns out. Everybody's little "issues" are nothing but a thing, and don't make a damned bit of difference in the long run. In 10 years you won't remember what today's problem is, and in 200 years, nobody's gonna know what the fuck an Obama is. Don't take this shit so seriously. It's only life.

-Exercise
-Drinking and playing video games (usually with friends)
-Sex
-Outdoor solitude
-Following through with what I need to do at work and with my friends/family
-Reading a book

Here lately, going out on my boat and doing some fishing.

I get out of the house, get next to nature and enjoy the peace and quiet.

I like shopping at flea markets, and thrift shops. Also, closeout stores like BigLots are fun. It's like treasure hunting, and there's always something new to see. The pay off is getting something at a great price, and possibly better than what you can buy new at any price.

Work.

So quit working. A rather large bag of money might do the trick, got one you don't need?

It's just so hard for me not to care, I'm not sure why.

Otherwise...hookers and blow.

Again, about that bag of money I was asking about.

Eliminating the source of stress isn't about quitting the job...well, sometimes it is, but not usually.
It's about managing what stresses you out about the job.

Sometimes I'll take L-theanine when I'm stressed. I would recommend trying it, seems to help a lot of people.

video games - nothing like killing bad guys in video game instead of bad people at work.
soak in the hot tub
float in the pool.
a pint of icecream with about 4 shots of rum- mix well
camping with the kids
napping - oh I loves me a nap

I have a large aquarium in the home. It really does help with stress watching the fish. Although today it is doing the opposite as I have two fish that are competing for dominance and they keep splashing water on the floor.

Gym.

Also, and this is weird, but spreadsheeting. Which explains my vast collection of unnecessary and overly complicated spreadsheets.

I know what you mean about stress... and I know what you mean about not being able to eliminate any more of the stress. I also know what you mean about stopping caring about work.

Shooting range is best "instant gratification" stress relief, but I don't go very often as ammo is expensive, and range is closed by the time I get home from work, and on weekends they tend to be pretty busy usually.

I have a heavy bag in my basement, that helps with stress, and it can be fun to punch things.

Otherwise I love watching movies, takes my stress level down and improves my mood.

And this is expensive, but I like going out with the GF for dinner, takes my mind off of work, and neither one of us has to deal with dishes....

Walking around Frys is pretty relaxing.... shopping in general sucks
NOOOOooooo...

Having moved from Pittsburgh (No Fry's or Microcenters) to Seattle, I was semi-excited about having Fry's around.

I'm not sure if it's just the one I went to but goddamn... that is the most annoying electronics/computer store I have ever been in. I've never seen a store so overstaffed with people all wanting to push unwanted "help". I'm going to make a wild assumption that they're commission based.

Wow...I don't live close to a Fry's, (80-100 miles) but every time I've been in one, it was nearly impossible to find anyone willing to help...or knowledgeable enough to help...
