Maybe you will come Sunday, or if you look at next week's Officemax ad. But since the rebate may not be effective until Sunday, don't be surprised if you don't see it on OM's website.

I wonder how recent of a version it has to be? I own Streets 98 (and Trips 98), it'd be cool to get a GPS reciever for my laptop so I could do in-car navigation. I'm sure I don't have the box anymore though, I'll have to check the rebate form to see if I can scan the CD in as proof.

the 2005 is the latest version just released about a month or so. it bondles a Pharosr GPS receiver that can be connected to your PC via USB port. the software comes with a version that works on Pocket PC or SmartPhone. However, you will need to figure out how to link the GPS with your handheld device since a USB will not available on most of the PDAs. Possible solutions include a separate Bluetooth addapter for the GPS.

$49 -- if true is hot.

I ordered on-line and had to call to get a price adjustment for the $20 instant rebate. The operator said "any previous version of streets&trips would qualify for the rebate. She said the forms were in the box, not on-line.

Flyer for New York stores says $129.99 - $20 Instant rebate = $109.99 and then a $60 upgrade mail-in rebate = $49.99. Pretty good deal.

Edit: Ad Link

Looks like it's in-store only as the online order page doesn't mention the special price.

Word from another Hot Deal site is that there is NO $60 rebate form in the box. They opened the box at the store in front of the manager and either returned it or was automatically discounted the 60!

Try calling the OMAX rebate hotline 800-661-5931 (got the number from a CSR). They do not open until regular business hours (whatever that means).

The Office Max rebate is good until 10/2/2004 - but for the $60.00 rebate you must submit it within 14 days after purchase. Called the Rebate hotline and Monique told me that you can send in the original program discs - they are locally sold out for me - have raincheck in hand. I wonder if you can bundle up the Microsoft rebate to make this 39.99 after all rebates?!

Has anyone had any problems with Office Max rebates?!
