Hey everyone... If you ever need a reason not to street race your car - this will be it... Last night at about 3:45am a buddy of mine was racing a Ford Probe and got himself into a car accident... At this point I'm not sure if he is okay, or what... I dont have an update from his family at this time...
There were two cars involved in this accident plus the truck. Eagle Talon and a Ford Probe. The Eagle Talon (his car) as you can see was demolished along with the truck. The Talon. When the Talon hit the truck, the truck was thrown about the length of a football field. The rear axle (which you can see to the left of the truck in the pics up against a flag pole) was found about 100 yards away from the truck. I know that these 2 cars must have been going pretty fast to throw a truck like this which was full of freight as far as it did.
I dont have any information on the other car, or pictures of it either... but here are some pictures of the accident sceen... Be warned - some of them are graphic...

Hopefully he's okay... Good kid - just a little stupid sometimes (like last night) Now - everyone else who thinks their car is king of the road - Take it to the damn track because this stuff DOES happen.
Edit : Just found out this morning that he has walked away from this accident with 50 stiches in his head and that's it...
He will be getting his though - will be charged with street racing, DUI and a few other things... Hopefully he learns his lesson!

Wow, 50 stitches is quite extreme. That's about a 6" straight gash. That's pretty big for being on the head.

both those cars suck. The notion that they should be used for any kind of racing is quite a hoot.

Aye... that Eagle Talon was a wild machine... AWD Turbo and modified to the gills... it had a low 12 second 1/4 mile time... they are quick little cars...
I agree with you on the probe though... 😀

The Talon TSI AWD is quite a performance car when tuned properly...
What makes that car any different then a Subaru STi ?

No offense but he deserves what he got for street raing in the first place. I don't feel sorry for either of them. But I hope whoever was in the truck is OK.

And yet you're qualified to determine that both cars suck....
