Street Racing Accident

Hey everyone... If you ever need a reason not to street race your car - this will be it... Last night at about 3:45am a buddy of mine was racing a Ford Probe and got himself into a car accident... At this point I'm not sure if he is okay, or what... I dont have an update from his family at this time...

There were two cars involved in this accident plus the truck. Eagle Talon and a Ford Probe. The Eagle Talon (his car) as you can see was demolished along with the truck. The Talon. When the Talon hit the truck, the truck was thrown about the length of a football field. The rear axle (which you can see to the left of the truck in the pics up against a flag pole) was found about 100 yards away from the truck. I know that these 2 cars must have been going pretty fast to throw a truck like this which was full of freight as far as it did.

I dont have any information on the other car, or pictures of it either... but here are some pictures of the accident sceen... Be warned - some of them are graphic...

Hopefully he's okay... Good kid - just a little stupid sometimes (like last night) Now - everyone else who thinks their car is king of the road - Take it to the damn track because this stuff DOES happen.

Edit : Just found out this morning that he has walked away from this accident with 50 stiches in his head and that's it...

He will be getting his though - will be charged with street racing, DUI and a few other things... Hopefully he learns his lesson!

1) Sorry about your friend.
2) Ford Probes should not be used to street race.
3) I hate to say it, but he assumed the massive risks of street racing by participating in it. But I hope he's okay.

EDIT: now that I see the pics, it looks like the passenger compartment of his car held up really well.

Not to be too much of an ass... but neither of them could have been too slick if they were racing a ford probe and an eagle talon on occupied streets.

Hopefully surviving this will screw his head straight about being stupid on public roads.

I hope they both die or go to jail for a Long a$$ time. This type of behavior is inexcusable and they should pay the price for putting other people lives in jeopardy. Street racing is stupid and dangeruous...and I think a lot more people are going to have to die from it until people get the message. I just hope it isnt any more innocent victims who happen to be 'in the way' of the racers.

I'm not even sure that he does... EMS would not comment on the condition of either of the people in the Talon...

Not being an ass at all... that is a very true statement...

Either?

That dumb f*ck (sorry to tell it like it is) was racing with someone else in the car? 😕

No offense but he deserves what he got for street raing in the first place. I don't feel sorry for either of them. But I hope whoever was in the truck is OK.

I agree fully that he deserves everything he gets for this... I am in -NO- way saying what he did was right, allowed, or even justifiable... I'm just saying I know the guy - and yes... there's a personal side in it for me...

BUT - I do hope that he loses his license for this and even does jail time if anyone ends up being hurt from this... There is no reason this should have been done... 3:45am or not... Doesn't matter, and he better pay for what he has done.

maybe he's refering to the other guy in the truck or probe? i dunno.

The passenger compartment held up very well considering the severity of the impact.

However, I have no sympathy for your friend and I feel he deserves what he got.
If he comes out with only minor cuts and bruises, he got off way too easy.

street racing has been around since cars were fast enough to make it woth doing so

people act like it's soooooo terrible
