Street Legal Minibikes

Does anyone commute, work or school, on a street legal mini bike? Lets say under 100cc?

If you do, what do you have and how do you like it? Also what do you pay for insurance and things like that.

If you have one for sale in the Mpls/St. Paul area, let me know as well.

Thanks,
Jason

Some model years of the Honda Minitrail 50s are street legal, not saying you would want to ride one of the street though. I have some parts collected up to put one together, but I am still in need of a few more parts, and parts are not cheap for the old models.
Otherwise, you can look at mopeds...

I'ts not about being 'realy g@y'. Its about needing to get around quickly and cheaply in an urban environment.

Anyways I took a look around my area and found a Honda CT70 that was liscenced and in good shape and picked it up. It should be good enough to buzz around town on.

damn, so that guy I saw the other day wasn't just playing tricks with my eyes. There is almost nothing as fruity as a guy on a bike that's way too small for him. Similarly I saw a FAT guy on a sport bike the other day. Man did he look DUMB.

Ok, um... there was a guy in here before asking about pocket bikes. Yeah, we called him stupid too. Think if you get hit by a car on one whats gonna happen to you. I dont think any of them should be street legal, even if they are. Car vs Pocketbike == likely death for pocketbiker.

I think you want a YSR50. As far as I know, none of the really tiny minis (the ones that are 2' long) are street legal.

My bud tried one of those that can go up to 150MPH, crashed and scraped up his elbow and face bad! 😛 It was fun watching him ride that thing though. I didn't have the balls to ride it 😱

I've considered getting a pocketbike for riding around during lunch. I wouldn't be going more than a mile each way or so but I think it'd be more fun than just driving.
