I agree with the idea of a VW dunebuggy, though its not going to handle incredibly well...


Hell, one of my friends has a "beetle" registered here in FL that is just a sandrail. Oh and its got the engine from a 944-Turbo. Runs 14 second 1/4s on offroad tires from 1989,,

What about a Noble? Not cheap though, one of my friends paid about $60-70k cash for his. Probably much cheaper to get a Miata and fix it up.

Just what you're looking for. The builder has four levels from the 200hp DP4 to the DP1 with 2lb/hp. They all weigh around 800-1200lbs and can be easily made street legal from what I read on the site (maybe even sold street-legal?). Click on the "Cars" tab on the left for all the specs and pricing. Videos are under the "Gallery" tab.

that is awesome. I wonder if i could get an exemption for that thing on the road lol
