But, seriously, Ryu speaks Korean in the game.

hmm...i think they have a tie....cuz they've always been tied rite?/ neither have ever beat the other one...so..i guess they are the same...but then if anyone here reads the chinese comics...Ken turns totally evil and has these special powers...and blah blah...so yea...IF u'r talkin about based on NATURAL talents...i think they tie..haha
 
ryu is japanese. and i believe its pronouces Re-Yu.

i don't think anyone is from korea is streetfighter but i could be wrong. maybe if you look at the alpha series or the ex series there might be one

How can they be brothers if one is Japanese and the other is white? It dosen't really make sense to make Japan the home of a Korean guy.

I liked to use Ken over Ryu. Probably because Ken is faster and I win more with him than Ryu.
 
Ryu vs. Ken.. I always liked Ryu and always found Ken to be a mediocre fighter. When I played as Ken, it was a little harder to defeat Ryu.. This is on my Genesis playing Street Fighter II: Special Championship Edition

According to Nintendo Power mag, Ryu is very much Japanese, while Ken's nationality is the States. If what FFM says is true, then Ken is also Japanese.
 
FFM is totally wrong. Only 1 is Japanese, not both. Ken is a white american boy, aka bobby flay, and Ryu is Japanese, aka Iron Chef.

But they are both definitely not Japanese. 🙂

Yes, even I said I was wrong. I have no idea as to nationality, etc. I know he speaks Korean, and that's it.
