I've played it at both super arcade (across the street from Mt. SAC) and rowland heights arcade (forgot what it's called). I definitely am NOT use to the Sanwa arcade sticks, though i do respect their relatively short throw and quick response. I built a joystick in december using happ competition parts, and the CThulu pcb -- which is made for ps3/pc. It's a direct USB connection, and i don't need any drivers for vista and it immediately recognizes the controller as a ps3/cthulu joystick.

and for those who wonder why the SF4 Tournament Edition stick is so expensive: it uses 100% sanwa JLF parts. true arcade parts. The joystick was designed for the builder in mind, where it's easily swapper with quick disconnects on each terminal. Additionally, you can easily mount the joysticks to a coffee table, and you can easily remove the top!

Another thing i've noticed when i was playing SF4 in the arcade, is that there is a HUGE line for it and people actually put their quarters up! Street Fighter is back!

I hope it comes.
cant wait till the 17th!

What is this sanwa stick you're referring to? I couldn't find it on their website.

I realized that I have enough BN giftcards to cover most of the sf iv game... 😀 Assuming the game is good, I'd definitely consider buying it.

Can you guys provide some links to places to check out sticks?

I haven't played fighting games in ages (SF2 and VF2) and I'd love to play this. Not sure how much I can justify spending on a stick I'll probably wind up never using, but I'd like to see what's out there.

Can you play this online?

The official SFIV stick is made by MadCatz and is has Sanwa components. It's $150 and it's wired. What decade are we living in?

I don't know where you can try the new sticks. Probably nowhere, at least until it's released on the 17th.

It will definitely be playable on-line. Capcom did a great job making SF2 HD Remix a really smooth on-line experience. Hopefully SF4 will be just as good.

wow i'd never thought they'd release a fighitng game on PC. Perfect for my PS2 to USB adapter (they work awesome, check out places like dealextreme for them cheap)

The TE stick is going to be wired because people are anal about lag of wireless frequencies. They need 0ms lag for tourney's. Hence making the stick wired. They figure that hardcore street fighters are the ones who will buy the tourney sticks (the one made outta Sanwa parts) and casual gamers will buy the standard SF4 sticks (who can probably mod them using sanwa or seimitsu parts). People using controllers are the only ones who will get wireless benefits... at least for ps3 (since microsoft has a security on it's wireless technology)
