SoCal Fry's has the Streamlight Twin Task 1L on sale for $14.99 through Tuesday. These sell for $25 on Amazon and from no-name dealers for a little less. This one has 2 modes, a 3-led mode and a Xenon mode. If you know flashlights, you know this is a great deal.

I wish that I could get it -- but there are no Frys near me. This is a definite deal. GET ONE... I have the 2L version, and I love it.

1) Uses lithium batteries. These batteries will sit up to 10 years, and still have power. They are not as affected by heat and cold nearly as much as alkaline batteries.

2) LEDs for a usable light that will last a LONG time.

3) Xenon bulb for those times when you need more power, but at the expense of battery life.

I compared the the beam of the new 1L a 2L that I already had and the Xenon footprint and intensity were identical. That is not always the case when you have less batterey power to draw from. It seems that the only difference between the 1L and 2L is how long the battery lasts. The 1L is a great little flashlight.
