There are the three big video formats for streaming video: .wmv .rm and .mov
I believe all the solutions to stream these types of files are expensive, or hopefully someone can show me that I am wrong. I can compress to all these formats, but I can't figure out an inexpensive solution to stream these. I believe I am going to go with .mpg streaming, which is less desirable, but cost is an issue.
I looked at VLS (http://www.videolan.org), but I can't figure it out for the life of me. I install it and it's nowhere to be seen. I don't see any files and I don't see it running as a process. Is anyone familiar with it that can give me some tip and pointers?
Thanks for any help.
