I will be giving a lecture in 2 weeks and my presentation is on PowerPoints. The challenges are the building has no wireless network or internet. There is also no projector. The small room has a large HDTV with HDMI.

I have read Chromecast has an experimental cast the screen feature--but would this work if the only 2 devices are my Windows 8.1 Tablet and the Chromecast (no wifi network)?

Would a Belkin Miracast adapter or Windows Wireless Display Adapter be better choices?

Are you okay being wired? There must be some kind of MHL implementation for Windows 8.1.

I did a presentation once on a Note 8 and an MHL cable straight to the HDMI port of the screen. It wasn't as bad as I thought. I didn't really walk around in my presentation anyway.

Does your tablet have an HDMI port? If so, just connect it directly to the TV.

It does have an HDMI port. I was kind of hoping to use the tablet as I moved around.
