Stream ISO's with sortable Meta Data

I will have a Linux box in my Home Theater Room soon because I'll be dual booting my PS3.

Anyway, I want to know if there is a way to stream all my DVD ISO's on my Win XP Pro Box to my Linux Box (PS3 dual boot).

The catch is that I want to be able to navigate through my dvd collection via my linux box with the following types of meta data: Cover Art, Genre, Actors, Ratings, etc...

I know what software to use to get this to work on a Windows Media Center PC but not on linux.

Can you please recommend some software to use to make this happen.

Thanks,
Duncan

If you were curious... I believe a good Windows setup is as follows:

Equipment:
1. Windows XP Pro Box(File Server) and a Windows Media Center Edition(WMCE) Box
2. Gigabit wired Network

Process:

1. Copy all DVD's with features and menus intact to the Win XP Pro Box (Used Shrink DVD or DVDFab HD Decrypter)
2. Use a program called DVD Collector to grab all Cover Art and other Meta Data for your DVD Collection
3. Link each DVD ISO to it's corresponding title in DVD Collector
4. Associate the media player on the WMCE Box to run ISO's
5. Link the DVD Collector Database to the WMCE My movies area (http://www.collectorz.com/movi...-media-center-mce.php)

Presto! All your movies playing the way they were originally intended to be seen with an easy to use interface that your whole family can use to navigate and search

But... I don't have the money right now to buy a WMCE Box nor do I want any extra equipment in my living room when I can use my PS3 as a linux box.

So... I'm looking for a similar solution but with a linux box instead of WMCE Box.

MAYBE something like MythTV or XBMC might (plus 3rd party add ons?) do it.

Trouble is DVD ISO images are a little awkward to "stream"... really it sounds like you want a "jukebox" or media selector / cataloging & management application more than a "media center" .. though maybe some of the media center type SW can actually present you with the views of your collection you desire as well as being a good front end to play the actual disc images.
