Stray Rottweiler in my neighborhood

So there is this stray Rottweiler in my neighborhood. It barks at my car when I drive down the long driveway. It also came up to my front porch today and stood about 10 feet away and barked at me. I spoke nice and gave it a piece of ham....which it came up and fairly gently took from my hand. Then it backed up and barked at me some more. I like dogs but I'm not going to put up with a stay dog.... NO TAGS!...around.

Dogs are fairly stupid. Easily trained, but stupid. Ignore it and it'll get bored and distracted by something else and leave. If you don't know whose it is I'd say call the dog catchers and have em swing by for it though, if it's worrying you.

I found a puppy pit bull at the donut shop and kept it. Probably the best dog I have ever had.

It was cold outside and the shop owners said the dog had been outside shivering for 2 hours so nobody so I stole it. 🙂

i live in a rural county
there is no "animal control"

animal control is ad hoc, ie whichever farmer has his shotgun in his pickup will shoot the nuciance animal

Personally I would take it in get it fixed and find it a home, or take it to tah pound if nothing came up after a while. Killing it yourself opens yourself up to a dicey legal position sometimes. Just let the city take care of it if you are thinking that route.
