Strategy Guides

Do people actually buy strategy guides for games? Especially via Steam?

Seems kinda silly to me. Wouldn't you want to figure shit out on your own?

And if you really were stumped somewhere, couldn't you just google it?

😵

Some still pay for porn as well 😀

Theres always people in any group who are like 10 or more years behind the rest.

I rarely buy guides but did in the past simply because I found the guides to be cool looking and just...well...cool 😛

The last guides I bought:
Dragon Age Origins Hardcover (used at first to optimise Tactics)
Fallout New Vegas Hardcover (just looked at it just to see what were the cool unique weapons)
Skyrim no Hardcover (looked at the items available and was disappointed with the lack of cool uniques😛)

I just like the look of Harcover guides but I rarely use them. So I might not buy anymore guides from now on.

I'll buy some of the collector's guides if I think I may use it and if it's for a game I REALLY like.

I don't remember the last guide I bought 😛 (maybe Disgaea 3?)

Last guides I purchased were for Diablo 2 and LoD... both prior to obtaining internet access in my humble abode.

The only guides I have ever bought were a couple of ones for fighting games to have the list of moves right by my side as I practiced. I never understood buying a guide for most games either. Ruins the fun and with gamefaqs and other sites nowadays it is a pure waste of cash.
