Strategy Games For Laptop

I bought an laptop with an x700 128MB GPU in it, I need some decent stratergy games I can spend in between studies.

Now I hate to sound old fashioned but I find it hard to buy PC games, I mean I only ever buy a game if Iv played it and love it and I hate taking a risk with a game I aint played.

My faves include AOE2, MOHAA, Z. Can anyone give me some hints for some decent stratergy games ?
 
there is another thread with almost the same title from a few weeks ago. Several good ones listed there. I play Age of Mythology, Generals, and the LOTR: Battle for middle earth games a lot on my lappie.
 
Age of myth was on offer, I put it back down cos I get bored of AOE2 after several years of playing, so I firgured It'd be the same.
 
Also, I find it amusing that the first one had a typo in the title, and the sequel had TWO typos in the title. Good Joerd, now noone will ever be able to search for EITHER! You've doomed us to eternal reposts.
